David C. Coughlin Jr., 57, passed away on Friday January 1, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, on March 19th, 1958, to David C. Coughlin, Sr. and Ellen F. Coughlin.

Dave grew up in The Bronx, NY but moved back to Bayonne, NJ for high school. He was a 1976 graduate of Bayonne High School, where he excelled at History and loved being on the Debate and Fencing Teams. He enjoyed fixing/racing cars and working on anything mechanical. After high school Dave continued to work on cars and play billiards. He enjoyed and was very good at both.

He worked for the City of Bayonne and Bill Wright Plumbing and Heating while living in New Jersey. After moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, he worked for Unit Rig, City of Tulsa, Petrolite, Baker Hughes, and The WBTV Network. He attended various trade schools for certifications in Building Engineer and Phone systems.

Dave married Lorraine Wright in 1980 at St. Aedan's Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. They were happily married for 35 ½ years. He was a great dad and felt his son, David, was his greatest accomplishment in life.

Dave was a member of The Knights of Columbus in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, OK. He enjoyed politics, current events, debating, watching old movies, and listening to 50's music or the Blues.

Dave is survived by: his spouse, Lorraine Coughlin of Tulsa, OK; son, David C. Coughlin, III, and wife, Caitlin, of Broken Arrow, OK; brother, Matthew Coughlin and wife, Peggy, of Tulsa, OK; sister, Cathy Papot and husband, Richard, of Southold, NY; brother, William Wright, Jr. and wife, Valerie, of Stuart, Florida; grandchildren, Bridget, Felix, and Basil Coughlin of Broken Arrow, OK; nieces and nephews, Caroline Sniff, Maureen Sherry, Margaret Reimann, William Wright III,  Christopher Wright, Lauren Liepmann, Kathleen Papot and Christine Papot; and great-nieces and nephews, Nolan Sherry, Declan Sherry, Redmond Sherry, Keller Sherry, Anne Reimann, Evelyn Crecco and Donovan Crecco.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, David C. Coughlin, Sr., and Ellen Coughlin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org , or Hydrocephalus Association www.hydroassoc.org .

Visitation will be 2-4 pm and Rosary at 7 pm, both on Thursday, January 7th, at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, South Boulder and 14th.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 8th, at Holy Family Cathedral, South Boulder and 8th, Tulsa.
