David Glaves took his last flight from home and touched the face of God Thursday, November 27, 2014.
David was born in Quincy, Illinois on March 21, 1943 and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.
After college Dr. Edward Teller asked to have David join a team that worked on missile guidance systems in addition to working at Douglas supporting the war effort.
He married his high school sweetheart, Jeannine, with whom he celebrated their 50th anniversary this past summer.
He worked as a chemist and in Aerospace and Petro Chemical industries during his career.
What he was most proud of was his two daughters, grandson and granddaughter.
He was active in a number of industry societies and the Jaycees on local and state levels earning many awards.
David enjoyed a life-long love of aviation and spent many enjoyable hours in his plane logging national and international journeys.
His interests also included cars and motorcycles which he raced.
David is survived by; his loving wife; daughters' Christa Brinkman and Peggy Shields; his grandson Gray McCutchen and; granddaughter Riley Shields; a brother Robert Glaves and; sisters Louise Snyder and Katheren Kelley.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
