Obituary

David Dean Hall was born June 22, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Richard and Georgia Christine Smith Hall and proud big brother Terry Richard Hall. David attended Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from East Central High School in 1975, and continued his formal education at Oklahoma State University. He earned a bachelor's in business administration/finance accounting in 1979, and worked diligently and meticulously in finance and accounting in a variety of pipeline businesses in Tulsa throughout his career. David pursued and earned an MBA/CMA through the University of Tulsa from 1989-1992. He served as Executive Director for Dillon International Adoption Services from 2015-2017.

David met his future wife, Kendel Roberson, at a Christmas party at the church parsonage on Friday, December 13, 1985 and they sealed their commitment to one another with their marriage on December 23, 1989 at University United Methodist Church, where they were members. The church, their family and friends welcomed their children, Kaililaraine Kyung Mee in 1998 and Noah Yeong Joon in 2001.

When he wasn't working, David enjoyed the family's menagerie of cats, a dog, two frogs, a turtle, a hamster and horses. He enjoyed working out at the fitness center, researching Tulsa history as a docent with Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, and traveling with Kendel and friends. He also played a mean game of chess on the computer and attended OSU homecoming games with friends and fellow alumnae.

David faced "Toomey", the retroperitoneal liposarcoma that threatened his otherwise extremely healthy and happy being beginning in January of 2017 through the present, with admirable grace and courage. He and Kendel are grateful to Trekkers Cancer Support Group of All Souls Unitarian Church for their friendship, love and understanding of their experiences living with cancer.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Christine Hall and parents-in-law Bob and Betty Roberson. David is survived by his wife Kendel, his daughter Kaili, his son Noah, his brother Dr. Terry Richard Hall of Houston, brothers-in-law Larry and Jeff Roberson, sisters-in-law Valerie Hall of Houston, and Dian and Kent Roberson of Tulsa, and numerous precious nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
