David Michael Teegarden Jr., aged 55, passed away on November 29, 2024. Born on July 18,1969 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, David was a loving father, brother, uncle, and a cherished friend to many. He was a talented musician whose influence profoundly impacted the Tulsa Sound music scene, where his talents and contributions will be enduringly remembered.

David is survived by his daughters, Sunny and Sophia Teegarden; his wife, Kresta Teegarden; his father, David Teegarden Sr.; brothers, Jesse and Matthew Teegarden; sister, Amelia Teegarden; and nephew, Jackson Teegarden. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stella Teegarden; his mother, Vicki Teegarden; his grandparents, Elizabeth and E. Jay Teegarden; and grandparents, Shirley and Wayne Hines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Dirt Relief Fund, which supports musicians in times of need and reflects David's lifelong passion for music and his community.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024, 3:00 p.m., at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 14th and South Boulder Avenue, in Tulsa.

There will be a second celebration of David Jr's life, a benefit/donation concert, and all proceeds will go to his little girls: David Teegarden Jr Tribute and Benefit Show, 7PM, at The Venue Shrine, 112 E 18th Street, Tulsa, OK.
