Mary Deborah (Peet) Akers, age 76 ended her earthbound journey on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Deb passed after a very lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Debbie was born on June 8, 1948 in Leetonia, OH, to Willis and Audrienne (Holland) Peet. She was the youngest of 3 children. She moved with her mother and daddy to Rogers, AR where she met the love of her life, David Akers at Rogers High School. Upon graduation, Debbie went to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for a brief time before running off with Dave to Tulsa to get married on February 7, 1967. Dave and Debbie had a daughter, Heather in September of 1971 and a daughter, Emily in July of 1974, who predeceased Debbie in January 2006 and Dave in April of 2015.

Deb loved a summer day at the pool. Getting her hands dirty while she gardened in her gorgeous yard. A cold beer on a hot day. Spending time with her grandkids. Loving on any dog that came across her path. Spending as much time as possible outdoors. Time with family.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Heather Akers. Granddaughter, Laurel Rains-Gordon (Josh) of Garland, TX. Grandson, Gage Rains (Megan) of Tulsa, OK. Grands, Emily and Jax Ha of Golden, CO.

Visitation will be at 11:30 am, Friday, April 4 with celebration of Life to follow at 12:30. Both at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
