Deborah Kay Wright (Debi) was born August 29th, 1970 in Tulsa, OK to Don Cedric and Carol Lynn (Sievers) Wright and passed away August 10th, 2024 in Tulsa, OK.
Debi graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1988, and continued her education by earning a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Tulsa Community College in 1999. She went on to become an RN for the next 10 years. She gave birth to 3 wonderful boys, Christian (CJ), Corey, and Jackson. She was most recently a Service Advisor with Heather Cannon Honda in Ponca City, a job which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Before Debi was born, Don and Carol moved out to an acreage where Carol believed she would be getting a horse. The joke was on Carol, because she was gifted the beautiful Debi instead. Debi was the face of beauty and laughter, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her would agree. She quickly became the "cool" one with her wit and her carefree approach to life. She seemed incapable of going anywhere without ensuring her face was as perfectly made up as can be, and stopping a block away to recheck so her arrival was always flawless. Debi lived her life with purpose, and had a profound impact on everyone she met.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Don and Carol Wright of Tulsa; sister Mary Thorman and husband Terry, of Fort Worth, TX, brother Bill Wright and wife Denise, of Jenks, sister Susan Kerr and husband Ron, of Tulsa, and sister Lisa Murie, of Olathe KS; her children, CJ Vaughter and wife Brittney of Omaha, NE, Corey Vaughter of Atlanta, GA, and Jackson Holliman of Ponca City; two grandchildren, and three uncles, two aunts, and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister Donna, fraternal grandmother Oma Carter, and maternal grandparents Henry and Rosamund Sievers.
Friends can honor Debi's memory with contributions to American Cancer Society of OK at 800-227-2345.
