On Sunday April 26, 2020, our sweet Denise Egan Armiger found her place in heaven. Born in Tulsa, OK on January 30, 1956 to David Michael and Mary Anne Egan. She went to St. Mary's, Holmes and Marquette schools and graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1974.
As a young girl, Denise enjoyed playing basketball. Throughout her life, she acquired friendships that would last forever. After high school, Denise took a job for Special Service Systems where she retired as Manager in 2015, culminating 40 years of loyal and hardworking service.
Denise married Bill Armiger February 21, 1992 and spent the next twenty-eight years with the love of her life and soul mate. Denise and Bill enjoyed traveling together, especially to Maui, Hawaii and this was made more special by forging a long-lasting friendship with Dale and "Peg" Peggy Descoteau of Canada. Annual trips to Branson, MO, were always special; spent with their grandchildren as her greatest joy in life was spending time with loved ones and friends.
Denise was loved by all! Especially children. She was a shining force whenever she was at a family gathering. Her loving spirit and engaging playfulness, had nephews and nieces gravitating to their "Niecie"s side. She was like a second mother to them and loved teasing and being teased by family.
Other favorite pastime activities included working puzzles and shopping estate sales, sometimes in the company of her Grandson, Daniel.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents David and Mary Anne Egan, stepfather Bob Travers, in-laws Bill and Mary Armiger, grandson David Armiger and brother-in-law Drew Spears.
Left to mourn her loss are her loving husband Bill Armiger, step children, Jerry (Jamie) Armiger and Rachel (Bob) Brewer, daughter-in-law Nancy Armiger, grandchildren Daniel Armiger, Majestic and Jaxsyn Brewer. Denise's brother David (Kathi) Egan, sisters Cathy Spears, Lynn (Brent) Vockrodt and Dana Hailey (Mark). Denise's in-laws Karen (Mike) Marcoux, Dennis (Karla) Armiger, Steve (Catherine) Armiger and Bryan (Diane) Armiger. Also leaving many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. Eternal rest grant unto her, our loving Meemaw, Niecie and Angel, thru our Lord Jesus Christ.
