Dennis Laine Corvin, age 83, died on May 3rd, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dennis was born on May 2nd, 1941, in South Gate, California, to parents Rayburn Corvin and Kathryn Corvin. He graduated from Ada High School in the class of 1959, then furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry, from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Following his college graduation Dennis spent the majority of his career working in the oil and gas industry. After his oil and gas career Dennis founded Decor Roofing and Construction located in Bixby, Oklahoma. On June 17th, 1964, he married Joy Mae Williams, and they made their initial home in Lafayette, Louisiana before finally settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dennis was a member of the Masonic Lodge for the majority of his life and also obtained a pilot's license. He enjoyed fishing, competing in classic car shows, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family at the lake and especially holidays. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny and ornery individual who always made people laugh. Dennis was also known as a very generous person.
He is survived by his wife Joy Mae Corvin, his daughter Tonya Litterell and husband Kyle Litterell, his son DeWayne Corvin and wife Becky Corvin, grandchildren Sterling Gramm and husband Jordan, Cole Corvin and wife Melanie, Shane Litterell and wife Cheyenne, Taylor Howell and husband John, Bayley Walter and husband Jack, Kieran Casillas and wife Taylor, Katelyn McCumons and husband Mark. His great grandchildren Skylar Gramm, Kingsley Howell, Lilian Corvin, Blake, Brooks and Bella McCumons, Memphis and Harper Casillas. He is also survived by his sisters Doris Corvin-O'Connell, Judy Williams, and Shonda Fisher along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rayburn and Kathryn Corvin, brother Kenneth Corvin, and sister Jerrilynn Summers.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wednesday on May 8th, 2024, at 11:00am at The Bridge Church located at 7731 East 119th Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma. Flowers can be sent to The Bridge Church.
