Donald Bernard Durbin, born to Harold and Grace Durbin on October 30, 1930 in Dallas, Texas, passed away on October 18, 2015. He attended St. Francis School and graduated from Marquette High School in 1948. He began his studies at the University of Tulsa in the Fall of 1948 but interrupted college with flight school (Training Class 52-H). After graduation from flight school, he went to Korea, flying the F86 and also serving as a Forward Air Controller. Upon returning from Korea, he married Nancy Claire on May 8, 1954. He continued his college education graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from TU. Don began a career in oil field equipment sales, officing in Tulsa, Lafayette, LA, Houston, TX, and Chanute, KS. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Don flew a variety of aircraft from cargo planes to fighters.
Don's life centered around family, friends, flying and most importantly, faith. As a family, they always attended Mass and participated in parish activities. Don was a member of Christ the King Men's Club, Life Member of Sabre Pilots Association, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Tulsa Petroleum Club.
Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy; brother John of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law Leroy Slate; son and daughters: Mike Durbin (Kathy), Cathey Barkley (Mike) and Susan Uber (Greg); grandchildren: Jacob Uber (Holly), Zachary Uber, Megan Uber, Michael Barkley, John Barkley, Samantha Barkley McKee (Matt), Grace Durbin, Kay Durbin, and Emily Durbin; and great-grandchildren: Jackson, Owen, and Eloise Uber and John and Caroline McKee.

Rosary will be Thursday, October 22, 2015, 6:30 p.m., at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 South Boulder Avenue. Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 23, 2015, 1:00 p.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 16th and South Quincy, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
