Donald (Don) Eugene Carl was born
December 14, 1937 in Tulsa County, OK to H.L. and Ruth Burkhart Carl, and died March 4, 2013 at his home in Broken Arrow, OK. His childhood was spend in and around the Owasso, Collinsville area, and he graduated Collinsville High School in 1955. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January 1957 and served 4 years as an electronics repairman. After being honorably discharged in January 1961 he hired on with Southwestern Bell Telephone where he worked as a lineman for 30 years retiring in 1991.

Don was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed square dancing and did so all over Oklahoma where he made many friends. Don also enjoyed traveling within the country and abroad.

Don enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor and adventure which endeared him to his family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, H.L. and Ruth Carl, his brother Jimmy, and his sister Francis. He is survived by his companion Linda Connor, his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Dan Moore, and their children Travis, Josh and Nick, and his son Bobby Carl and his children, Cody and Cady, and Don's great-granddaughter, Kynadi, and his nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
