On the evening of August 30, 2025, mom passed away peacefully with us by her side. Mom was 95 years old and had a joyous family birthday party just a few weeks before joining her large family in Heaven.

Mom, grandma, great grandma was born in Slick, Oklahoma and graduated from Bristow High School. She met our dad in high school, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2015.

Mom excelled at her career as office manager for a local legal firm and then later as a self-employed document editor. She enjoyed her retirement years with summers spent at their cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. Her other passions included knitting, reading, cooking, jigsaw puzzling and frequent text messages and visits with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the family historian having spent years summarizing the family tree.

Mom was proceeded in death by our father, George Edmond, her parents, Everett and Nellie Holden and our two brothers, Clark David and Stephen Kent. She is survived by us, her sons Mike and Lance, and her sister Marily Blackford. Mom was much loved and adored by us, her 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law.

A family memorial luncheon was held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel followed by graveside services at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Bristow, OK.
