Donnie Vaughn Brock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born in Tulsa on April 9, 1931, to Mable and Frank Vaughn. She was a proud Forty-niner from Central High School where she was a cheerleader and elected Band Queen. She attended the University of Tulsa and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She made lifelong friends with her Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority sisters at both schools. She taught first grade and pre-school throughout the years. She married John Brock on April 9, 1955.

In the early years of their marriage, they and their three children lived all over the oil patch in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. They returned to Tulsa in 1968. Donnie was involved as a volunteer with Gilcrease Museum, Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa Figure Skating Club, Campfire Girls and St. John's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Brock, daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and David Downing and Holli and Ed Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Vaughn and Jeri Brock, grandchildren: Cole, Grant, Josh and Aubrey Downing; Johnson, Cameron, Marshall, and Grayson Brock; Cates Harris and Stephen Schwark, Brock, Clayton and Hamilton Harris, and great-grandsons Raife and Harris Schwark; and dear friends from Bible Study, Playmates, Hooters Golf and Bridge Club, the Geeks, Tulsa Ozark Club, Sick and Sin, and St. John's Church.

We will celebrate her life at St. John's Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
