Obituary
Dorothy A. Bryant, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
She was born June 2,1923 to Joe and Kate Chapman. Dorothy graduated from Webster High School in 1941. She worked for Community State Bank for over twenty-five years.
Dorothy enjoyed square dancing, quilting, reading, traveling, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands: Gene Walner, 1942 – 1961; Wayne Ver Straeten, 1964 – 1972; and Norman Bryant, 1973 – 2008.
She is survived by her children: Toni Alley of Tulsa; Jo Lynn Admire of Tulsa; Cinda Schaefer and husband Tom of Okarche, OK; Rick Walner and wife Brenda of Catoosa, OK; Stacie Duke and husband Mike of Tulsa; Norman Bryant and wife Karen of Broken Arrow; Bill Bryant and wife Janet of Oklahoma City; and Ed Bryant of Newcastle, OK. Dorothy is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The wake service for Dorothy will be held 7:00 p.m.,Friday evening at Fitgerald Ivy Chapel, and her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 1st at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Tranquility Hospice or the charity of your choice.
