Dorothy Rae Goff Cody was born on June 9, 1929 to Georgia and Wesley Goff and passed from this earthly life on March 31, 2023.
Dorothy was raised on a farm near Stigler and attended Mount Olive Grade School as well as Stigler High School. On September 3rd, 1949 she married Warren Duane Cody and the two of them enjoyed a long and happy marriage.
Dorothy worked all of her adult life for Southwestern Bell Telephone where she not only enjoyed assisting customers but also built long lasting friendships. She and W. D. enjoyed their family and friends, raising Toy Fox Terriers, Jenks High School football, gardening, and watching golf. They shared the bounty of their garden freely and enjoyed knowing others benefited from their labor.
Dorothy will be remembered by all who knew her for hospitality in her home, her kind mannerisms and her well-kept appearance, but mostly for her constant smile and words of encouragement. She was a reflection of God's love and enjoyed serving Him by serving others.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband W. D. She is survived by her brother
G. W. Goff as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
