Obituary
Dorothy Louise Hughes Beaird was born April 15, 1920 to Artie and Stella Lewis in Corsicana, Texas. She went to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 5, 2011.
She is survived by her husband James O. Beaird, her son David Hughes, his wife Leslie, Three grandchildren, Hillary, Michael, and David Hughes and his wife Jennifer and their expected twin boys.
Dorothy was the oldest of three sisters, Betty Lewis who predeceased her and Emma Conner who lives in San Angelo, TX.
Dorothy was the cosmetics manager for Miss Jackson's for 20 years, expanding her department from very small to the finest in Tulsa.
A charter member of Asbury Methodist Church, she read her Bible every night and loved people with Christ-like love. She was a devoted wife, mother, and granny. She was a wonderful cook, an avid gardener, and always a beautifully charming lady. All who knew her will miss her tremendously and are invited to attend the memorial service in her honor at Asbury's Mason Chapel, Friday 12:00 noon.
