Obituary

Dorothy Lee Tittle Koliha born July 11, 1929, Hopewell, OK died at home February 8, 2019. Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her loving son, Rodney Koliha and son-in-law, Douglas Coelho; grandchildren Aaron Wayne Simpson and his wife Misti Fisher, and Lea Jo Simpson Ross; great grandchildren Ashley Simpson, Joseph Simpson, Sierra Hill, James Hill, and Tenely Simpson. Sister and best friend Billie V. Stanley; brothers J. E. Tittle and Ed Tittle. Many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. Dorothy is preceded in death by parents John E. and Lessie L. Tittle; husband Joe J. Koliha, loving and devoted daughter, Pamella Rose Koliha Simpson and her husband Gary W. Simpson; sister Jean H. Stacy; brother Jimmy D. Tittle.

Dorothy grew up in Morris and after graduating high school began working as a telephone operator, a career she would pursue off and on for many years. She met and married Marine Corp Sergeant Joe Koliha while he was on recruiting duty in Tulsa. They lovingly raised their two children while traveling to various parts of the world until they returned to Tulsa in the early 70s, to begin the second part of their life. After the children left home Dorothy resumed her career, working for Skelly, Getty, and Texaco oil companies until retirement. She was a long-time parishioner of St Mary's Catholic Church.
In retirement Dorothy enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always cherished her time with family and friends, they were the priority of her life.
The family would like to give special thanks to her nephew Tom Stanley for his extraordinary dedication and to her caring and loving healthcare team, Carlotta Hancock and Katherine Atkinson.

A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.  Private Family Service., Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
