Douglas "Dougie" Allan Dulany, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Doug and Norma Jean Dulany. He is survived by his wife, Tempest; daughter Kateri Beck (husband Ryan); grandsons Cory Douglas Beck and Marc David Beck, due in April; sister Dee Dee; mother-in-law Majel (Lu) Stevenson; sister-in-law Kateri Nagy Morris; brother-in-law Sean Stevenson (wife Gina) and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He married Tempest in May 1990, and they began a life full of love and laughter for the next 35 years. Doug was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling, ability to make people laugh and especially teasing. He was loved and adored by so many, never met a stranger, and was eager to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents; fathers-in-law, Benny Teegarden and Butch Stevenson; and brother-in-law, Randy Nagy.
Doug attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Kelley in 1976, where he played baseball and was a member of Bishop Kelley’s 1976 3A Baseball State Championship team.
His real dream was to race speed boats like his dad and Uncle Bill. Doug went on to a story book career racing and winning a number of national titles. No one had more fun at the races than the Dulany clan. Being the first grandson on the Talley side he always had the biggest pit crew and largest cheering section. Doug cherished those memories and the many friendships that he made. Race day soon began mini-reunions for the Talley family and he was so grateful for being a part of everyone being together.
Doug’s dad, grandfather Dulany, and cousin, Charlie Stepp, introduced him to quail hunting in the 70’s and he was hooked. He enjoyed hunting in western Kansas and southern Oklahoma. Doug began working at Modern Bindery after attending NEO where he played baseball. He retired from Western Printing in August 2023.
The family would like to thank the amazing doctors and staff at St. Francis 4th Floor ICU for their care and compassion.
Friends may honor Doug’s memory with contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma.
Rosary will be said Monday, March 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 4001 East 101st Street, Tulsa.
