Doyle S. Fisher, 89, died in Tulsa on July 29, 2017. He was born September 1, 1927, the son of Wes and Betha Fisher of the Holly Creek community, near Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He graduated from Broken Bow High School and then attended Lamson Business College, Murray State College and the University of Maryland. Doyle served in the U.S. Air Force with the American Embassies in London, England, and Paris, France, and with the Civil Air Patrol in Washington, D.C. He was employed by Frank Wheatley Pump & Valve Mfg., and its several predecessors, and then retired from National Oilwell Varco, after 47 ½ years.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Christine; son, John; and two nieces, Patricia Graham and Vyeann Jones. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, J.D. Fisher.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 14th and South Boulder, in Tulsa. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
