Edrea "Ann" Appleton, age 87, passed away August 10, 2010, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 9, 1923, to Frank and Sarah (Ginsburg) Goodman in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ann was married to Julian Jack Appleton and had no children. She was the Owner/Operator of the original Diamond Jack's Restaurant in Tulsa, OK. She will be missed by many loving and devoted friends and family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Jack Appleton, her siblings, Gertrude Naron, Harry Goodman and Frances Frankenstein. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families: Toby Naron Hogan, of Missouri; Eugene Naron, of Kansas, Larry Goodman, of Texas; Roseanne Cherrick, of Calfornia; Edward Cherlin, of California; Philip Cherlin, of California; Phillip Applebaum, of Connecticut; Robert Applebaum, of Connecticut. Ann is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Ann had many longtime friends who showed true devotion to her until the end: Helen Thomas, Jan Dawson and William Mulder.
A Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, OK. Immediately following will be a reception at B'Nai Emunah Synagogue, 1719 S. Owasso Ave., (corner of 17th and Peoria on the west side of Peoria).
