Edward "Ed" Joseph Cizek, Sr., 80, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Saint Simeon's Senior Community in Tulsa, OK. Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 12, 1937, Ed remained in the Chicago area until moving to OKC in 1982. Ed was an avid sports fan and a world traveler. He loved to reminisce about his trips to Ireland, England, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium and Hawaii. However, Ed's most favorite place was always Chicago, where he loved to visit family, friends and eat at all his favorite places, Home Run Inn Pizza, Dumpling House, Portillo's and Klas Restaurant.
Ed will be deeply missed and is survived by his three children, Sandra, Sharon and her husband Devin Brown, Edward and his wife Janet, and his three grandchildren Trey, Katie and Abbey Cizek.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Betty Cizek and his parents Joe and Sophie Cizek.
Special appreciation to the staff, caregivers and Ed's 'second family' at Saint Simeon's and to the guidance and compassion provided by Saint Francis Hospice Team.
