Edward Bernard Schaefer (77) passed away peacefully on December 26, 2015 in his home in Jenks, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia May (Hoenes) Schaefer and his brother, Jerome Dominick Schaefer; two children, Daughter Dr. Elizabeth Schaefer Caniglia, son Edward Michael Schaefer; grandchildren Damon, Sadie, Drey, Aaliah, Christian; and great-granddaughter Breezy. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Pauline Elizabeth (Allen) Schaefer and Edward Jerome Schaefer.

Visitation services will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Tulsa on Wednesday, December 30th 5-7pm with a rosary led by the Knights of Columbus at 7pm.

Funeral services will be held at Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic church on Thursday, December 31st 2pm with Monsignor Patrick Gaalaas presiding.

Ed was born on March 16, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. He went to high school at Calvert Hall College High School and graduated in 1956. He went on to earn a BS degree in transportation from the University of Maryland in Baltimore and had a successful career as Department Head of Transportation and Purchasing at AT&T. After retirement, Ed enjoyed investing, travelling with his family and volunteering at his church. He was a proud Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Assembly 3135.
