Elaine Hoffman Stoeppelwerth, age 79, of Tulsa, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at home.  She was born to parents Albert S. and Vera Pewett Hoffman on September 3, 1931, in Houston, Texas.

Elaine married George Stoeppelwerth in 1961. They lived in McCook, Nebraska for 22 years before moving to Tulsa in 1986.

Elaine worked for TW Airlines as one of their first stewardesses.  She also had a 23 year career as a sales consultant for Miss Jackson's department store.  Elaine had a passion for life and all beautiful things, but considered being a mother her greatest accomplishment.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, George; daughter, Ann Stoeppelwerth and husband, Robert Fitz-Patrick; son, George Stoeppelwerth and wife, Amy; and grandchildren: Megan Fitz-Patrick, Emily, Eliza and Phoebe Stoeppelwerth, all of Tulsa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2331 E 5th Place.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery.  A Celebration with friends will follow at Ann's home, 4360 S. Victor Ave.
