Obituary

Eleanor Dean "DeAnne" Wynn Pula went to be with her Lord on December 4, 2022. DeAnne was born on July 9, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harry H. Wynn and Eleanor Hamlin Wynn. DeAnne was proud that she helped raise her two brothers after her mother's unexpected death, while attending and graduating from Granite high school in 1941.

DeAnne married Walter S. Pula on January 19, 1946 and they were happily married for 60 years. DeAnne was proceeded in death by Walter and daughters Kevyn Felton, Kaaren Bates and Mary Frances "Francie" Pula and brother Calvin Wynn. DeAnne is survived by her daughters; Theresa Guenther (Gary), Maggie Price (Jim) and sons, Dana Pula (Winky) and Mark Pula and brother Harry Wynn. DeAnne was "Bopshe" to many grandchildren and great grandchildren and Aunt Dee to many nieces, nephews and friends.

DeAnne worked as a legal secretary for over 60 years. She was a vital member of St. Pius X Parish in Tulsa, where she sang in the choir, was a lector, and considered her most important role as being a Eucharistic minister. She volunteered for Birthright, would take her children to visit the residents in local nursing homes, and was active in the Tulsa CASA organization. DeAnne loved the Lord, gardening, playing cards, celebrations with family, and crocheting many blankets and Christmas stockings for her loved ones. She always had her hair and nails done, wore anything animal print and, if accessories had bling, all the better! She enjoyed reading the Bible, any book on history and watching and talking politics. She reveled in jumping out from behind doors to scare unknowing participants, she would hide your dinner plate if left unattended, and she was the original photo bomber. She cherished the years raising her children with the neighbors and family in Oklahoma City, her church community and friends in Tulsa, and appreciated the time with family and friends in her last years in Kansas City.

DeAnne was interred at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, and a celebration of life will be St. Therese Parish, Kansas City, Missouri, at 10 AM, on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the hospice agency of your choice or Parkville Womens Clinic.

May eternal peaceful sleep be yours Bopshe - You are Loved!
