Obituary

Eleanora Louise (Sellers) Lockhart affectionally called "Peggy" was born on Christmas Day in 1928 and passed from this life on April 2, 2019 at the grand age of 90 years. Peggy was the middle child of William E. Sellers and Edith M. Burns Sellers. She had an older brother William (Billy) Jr. and Shirley R. Sellers Duncan.
Peggy attended Alexandria schools and graduated in 1947 from George Washington High School. Her brother Billy had a best friend, Charles E. Lockhart, who stole Peggy's heart at a very early age. They were married on November 8, 1946 and that marriage lasted for nearly 60 years until her beloved husband passed away in July, 2005.
Charlie and Peggy had four children: Desiree Lynette Borders (husband Joseph), Deborah Gale Wise, Donna Louise Durany (husband John) and Paul William (wife Mari). As a result, there came five grandchildren: Adam Borders, Aaron Borders, Nicole Wise, Tiffany Wise, Katherine Durany as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Peggy and Charlie lived a full life raising their children, living close to their family and extended family and were busy with Charlie's association with Henry Knox Field Masonic Lodge and working career.
Peggy enjoyed working at The Alma Shop selling women's fine clothes, however we believe most of her paycheck was left behind at the shop since she had first pick on new arrivals.
She and Dad enjoyed traveling and made the trip to Stuttgart, West Germany to visit Lynette who was stationed there in the early 70s. Peggy made another trip to Europe with her best friend Evelyn Anderson in the late 70s. Due to Dad's job, they were able to visit Hilton Head, SC, New Orleans, New York City and a host of other cities including Tulsa, OK to visit Lynette and Joe as well as Rochester, NY to visit Paul and Mari.
Peggy was predeceased by: her parents, William E. and Edith M. Sellers, her brother William (Billy) Sellers, one child Faith Lockhart and her beloved husband Charles E. Lockhart. Our mother will be greatly missed but know that she's with our Dad and her parents. Farewell Sweet Mother – may you forever have peace.
