Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Mars, age 86, died on December 18, 2023. Betty was born on June 10, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pa. Betty attended high school at Mount Saint Joseph Academy graduating in the class of 1955. She was proud to be a graduate and continued to support the school throughout her adult life.

Betty met the love of her life, John Mars. They started their married life of 57 years in Akron, Ohio. From Ohio, they lived in Illinois and then moved to Tulsa in 1978 where she spent the remainder of her life.

After devoting her time to being a stay at home mother raising her nine children, Betty obtained her degree as a paralegal. Her organizational skills along with her wisdom landed her a job and subsequent career at a local prominent law firm. In her retirement, Betty continued her lifelong passion of helping others- from teaching adults how to read to sharing her faith and love for the Lord. She was passionate about sharing time with her family, friends and community.

Betty was fortunate to be survived by children: Beth Conrad, Michael Mars (Kim), John Mars (Tina), Robert Mars (Pam), Pam Vogt (John), Kate Atkinson (Alvin), Mark Mars, Martha Malone (David) and Jane Penuel (David). Betty is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by husband, John Mars, daughter-in law, Chris Mars, grandson, Matthew Conrad and great grandson, Dathan Forson.

A Rosary will be prayed 7:00 PM, December 28th at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM, December 29th at St Bernard's Catholic Church.
