Elizabeth Ann Williams, 77, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Liz was born October 24th, 1938 in Hanna, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Bruce, and they married November 3rd, 1955. Together they had two children, Karen and Jimmy. As a family they enjoyed vacationing, camping, and other various activities.
Liz received her GED in 1978 and went on to graduate from Tulsa Vo-tech with her LPN license. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse at OU Medical College until she retired in October, 2000.
Liz was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, formerly a Sts. Peter & Paul parishioner, and attended a weekly bible study. Liz was a member of the Catholic Daughter of the Americas for over 30 years. She served faithfully in her local court in many capacities. She was also a past State Regent for the Oklahoma State Catholic Daughters. In addition to Catholic Daughters, she enjoyed being a part of the 55+ Club and the Women's Club at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Liz was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mohawk Post 308 where through the years she held various elected positions. She met monthly with a survivor organization and enjoyed her bi-weekly Friday luncheons.
Her love of God led her to travel to several destinations including Rome, Israel and Medjugorje. Liz's traveling extended beyond her church. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren in Branson, Missouri.
Liz is survived by her daughter, Karen Howerton and husband Richard "Rick"; her son, Jimmy Williams and wife Laura "Lolly"; two granddaughters, Louise and Lizzy Williams; grand son-in-law, Wesley Beeler; three great grandchildren, Breanna Dowling and husband Brandon, Kelsie and Jacob Beeler; two great-great grandchildren Bristol and Layton Dowling; one aunt, several cousins, nieces and nephews and best friend Idella Miller. Liz valued the many friendships she developed through her life's journey. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce of almost 57 years; granddaughter, Kara Howerton Beeler and three infant granddaughters.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 9:00 - 5:00, and Rosary will be 7 PM, both at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 South Boulder Avenue. Funeral Mass will be 1 PM, Thursday, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1727 South 75th East Avenue, Tulsa. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
