In loving memory of Elsie May Lowell, born to Henry C. and Mary Ann Evans on June 5, 1927, in St. Georges, Delaware. As a member of a farming family, she learned early the value of a loving home and carried that passion forward to her passing on April 12, 2025. In her early years, she supported the "Homefront" movement by working in a factory making protective vests for WWII soldiers. That experience began a lifelong interest in sewing and needlework, which included crafting everything from chair cushions to Halloween costumes, habits for the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary order and handstitched quilts for her granddaughters. Later in life, she and her husband, Andrew Lowell, enjoyed traveling throughout the American West, Canada and Alaska, with many trips to the beaches of her home state. As a grandmother, she was ever present for school plays, volleyball matches and unlimited sleepovers. She is preceded in death by her husband and is survived by daughters Terri Lowell and Patty Lowell and son-in-law Don Skillern. Granddaughters Tess and Bridget O'Leary were the light of her life. A funeral mass will be held on April 22 at11:00 am at Christ the King Parish in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. The family wishes to thank St. Francis Hospice and the end of life caregivers from At Your Home Healthcare. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie's name may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 6600 S. Yale Avenue, Suite 350, Tulsa, OK 74136.
