Ernestine Anne
Kahle
Jan 24, 1938 — Oct 31, 2026
Remembering Ernestine Ann (Quade) Kahle
Ernestine Ann (Quade) Kahle passed away on October 31, 2026 at age 88 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ernestine was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 24, 1938, to Gladys (Eggers) Quade and Edwin Quade. She was baptized on March 20, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She spent her early years in Braman, Oklahoma, until her parents purchased a farm north of Parsons, Kansas, in 1948. She was confirmed on August 24, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran in Parsons. She attended Parsons schools and graduated from Parsons High School in 1957. She then attended Parsons Junior College for one year before marrying Walter William Kahle on June 22, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran in Blackwell.
Family and farming were a big part of our Mother's life. She was never one to sit on the sidelines when there was work to be done. She could be found driving the wheat trucks, hauling hay, or doing whatever needed to be done around the farm. She made sure the men working in the fields were taken care of by preparing meals, taking food out to the fields, and serving them wherever they happened to be working. She was an important part of the farming operation and her willingness to work alongside everyone was just one of the many ways she showed her love for her family.
Ernestine also found joy in working with children. She worked at Trinity Lutheran Preschool in Blackwell for three years before moving to Tulsa, where she continued her work at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Early Childhood Center Preschool in Tulsa for 15 years. Her caring nature and love for children made this a natural fit.
She, and her husband Walter, were active in the Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary where she served at the district level. Her dedication led her to serve as a National Page in 1991 and as co-chairman of the 1992 National Convention in Tulsa.
Above all, Mom treasured her family and found joy in cooking and sewing clothes for her children. She is survived by her three children: Rhonda Fiebelkorn (Terry), Brenda Flasch (Chris), and Clay Kahle (Terry). She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Kurt (Jessica), Daniel (Jackie), and Kara Fiebelkorn; Jordan (Myrthe) and Lindsay Flasch; Branden (Ashley), Colin, and Aidan Kahle; seven great-grandchildren: Luke, Julia, Henry, and Lily, children of Kurt and Jessica; and Otto, Ike, and Lucia, children of Jordan and Myrthe.
To us, she was more than a mother and grandmother. Our mother was a woman of deep faith, a loving heart, and a lifetime of devotion to her family. She was an example of what it means to live a life of faith, to work hard, to serve others, and to love your family unconditionally. Her hands were rarely still, her heart was always giving, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. We are grateful for the example she set and the legacy of faith she leaves behind.
We will miss her presence, her love, and the many little things that made her who she was, but we find comfort in knowing that her faith was in the Lord she loved so dearly. We are thankful for the years we shared with her and for the countless memories and lessons she leaves with us.
Her life was a blessing to our family, and her faith will continue to be part of her legacy.
With love and gratitude,
Her children
