It is with great love we announce that Ervin L. (Joe) Gosnell entered eternal life on June 27, 2026 at the age of 86. Fr. Matt Gerlich anointed him at St. Francis Hospital prior to his passing. Born January 18, 1940, in Fox, Ok. Preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Gosnell and Elsie Wood Gosnell.
He attended college in Coffeyville, Ks. He entered the Air Force and was honorably discharged after serving 6 years for the country he loved. He had a 25-year career with Sears as a regional manager. As he moved on to public speaking in marketing and sales, it allowed him to travel across the country. Travel was one of his favorite fun things to do. Israel was his most blessed.
In his retirement years he did production of videos for families, school yearbooks, and Catholic ceremonies. Joe became a Catholic at Easter Vigil in 2004 and loved being part of the Charismatic Catholic movement and Bible study. His love of Jesus and his outgoing personality was always with him. Working with flowers, plants, and his yard was a favorite thing to do.
Joe is survived by Mackley, his wife of 32 years. Children: Kerri Ward, her husband, Mike Ward, and Roger Gosnell; Step Child: Mark Hieger and his wife Nicole Hieger; Grandchildren: Avery Hieger, Austin Hieger and Ayden Hieger; Step Child: Sean Hieger and his wife Tobi Hieger; Grandchild: Hailey Hieger; Niece: Dana Acevedo, husband Lucho Acevedo; Great nieces: Jessica Parker and Natalie Owen, 3 great great nieces, and 2 great great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be St. Anne's Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, Ok. on Friday the 10th at 10AM. Officiated by Fr. Mike Knipe
Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S. Harvard Tulsa, Ok. All are welcome to attend.
