Estill Sherrill of Tulsa died on Tuesday, Feb. 3; he was 91. A native of Prairie Plains, Tennessee, he had lived in Tulsa since 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn (Daley) Sherrill and his parents Andrew and Lillian (Phipps) Sherrill. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II, and a graduate and benefactor of St. Andrew's Academy in Sewanee, Tenn., and Oklahoma University. Estill was an avid fan of O.U. football and a long-time season ticket holder. He enjoyed a long career as an international salesman for Tulsa Winch and Braden Steel.
Survivors are his brother, Andy Sherrill of Brentwood, TN, sisters Bettie Jane Long of Euclid, Ohio, and Janice Pickens of Boardman, Ohio, niece Linda Beaty of Tulsa, and many other nieces and nephews. His friends and caregivers Marilyn Phillips, Linda Martin and Kathleen Kriegel took tender care of him in his later years, along with the fine nursing staff at St. Simeon's Episcopal Home.
