Eugene Gregory "Gene" Norman was born October 7, 1928 in Pattonville, MO to George Martin and Eleanor Abel Norman. He died on August 21, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK where he had recently moved to be closer to family. He had previously enjoyed life in Grove, OK and more recently Sand Springs, OK.
Gene loved family more than anything but coming in close after that was his love of cars, reading and food. He served stateside during the Korean War as a United States Marine, something he was very proud of.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Janice, brother, Ronald Norman, daughters Cindy Siegrist of Yukon, OK, Vicki Butcher and husband Bruce of McKinney, TX, Toni Marks and husband Larry of Yukon, OK step-sons Scott Averill and wife Angela of Sand Springs, OK and Todd Averill. He is also survived by grandchildren Rebecca Bryan, Kim Woodard, Melissa Barlow, Melanie Marshall, Lindsey Butcher, Taylor Averill and Chance Hillis along with ten great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Kristen Butcher, grandson Benjamin Wood and his brother Robert Norman. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Memorial Park Chapel, Tulsa, OK.
