Obituary
Evelyn Jefferson, age 88 of Tulsa, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at home.
Evelyn was born to parents Johnny and Lena Lee Whitley on August 23, 1922, in Hartsville, MO. She was married to Isiah Jefferson, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 8, 2003.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Eugene and Isiah Jefferson, Jr., and daughters, Wanda L. Armstrong, Audrey Evyone Ray, Mary Alice Brooks, Ivy Mae Liggius, Erma Jean Jefferson and Darlene Jefferson-Jones. She had 30 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Evelyn loved to garden, especially vegetables, and was a volunteer Girl Scouts Leader.
A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Lifeline Outreach Ministries, 2708 N. Cincinnati, Tulsa. Interment will be at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
