Evelyn Joan Lee Eddy Nichols was born on September 12, 1939 in Tulsa, OK to Clyde Eddy and Louise Harl Eddy and died on December 23, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Viso, granddaughters Ashley Viso, Megan Viso, and Emma Viso, sister Barbara Harvey, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by parents Clyde Eddy and Louise Eddy, brothers Clyde Joseph Eddy Jr. and Dr. William Stephen Eddy; sisters Patricia Griscom, Carole Sanders, Vickie Buckendorf, Theresa Casillas; and nephew David Harvey.

Evelyn graduated from Marquette High School in 1957. She worked in the insurance industry as a claims manager for over forty years. She was President of Insurance Women of Tulsa two times, President of Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association, Treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary, and helped organize the Marquette Re-Dial and Marquette reunions for many years.

Evelyn gave her time, energy, and all of her love to her daughter Amanda and her three grandchildren. She never missed a cheerleading event, recital, game, meet, or theater performance. She loved to laugh and tell a good joke. She also loved animals, especially dogs, as she could always be caught sneaking food away to give them. She loved to drive around town, go to the casinos, visit with family, watch movies, do word searches and crossword puzzles, and watch an endless amount of game shows.

She will be missed forever. Her love and laughter and memory will live on in her daughter and granddaughters.
