Obituary

Fannie Springer Ecker, 103 years old, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2026. She is preceded by her husband, Norman Ecker, her sister Ruth Springer, and her brothers Max and Issie Springer. She was the daughter of Harry and Ida Springer.

She leaves behind three daughters, Harriette Aron (the late Dr. Jeffrey Aron), Eileen Kramer (Robert Kramer) and Judith Aubrey (George Aubrey). Fannie had five grandchildren: Zachary Aron, Jordan Kramer, Megan Aubrey Arnold, Joseph Kramer, and Glynnis Aubrey Phung. And, seven great-grandchildren: Weston Godfrey, Paige Arnold, Emma, Molly, Brooke and Lily Kramer, and George Phung.

She was a native Tulsan, born and educated in Tulsa. After graduating from Central High School, she worked in her family grocery store. During WWII she was a bombardier welder at Douglas Aviation. After the war she worked at Froug's Department Store, Brown Dunkins Department Store, and retired from Dillard's Department Store as a Sales Manager.

She enjoyed traveling and visiting with her family. She was a skilled mahjong player and created beautiful works of embroidery, crochet and needlepoint.

Fannie was a long-time member of Temple Israel and its Sisterhood. She spent her last years as a member of the Zarrow Pointe Continuous Care Community. Donations in her memory may be made to either Temple Israel or Zarrow Pointe.

A Memorial service will be at Zarrow Pointe Burnstein Auditorium, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:45 a.m. Burial services will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Thursday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m.
