Grant Scott age 91 died on March 16, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. Grant was born on Sept 7,1932 in London, Ontario, Canada to parents Charles and Euretta Jane Scott . He graduated from Waterford High School in the class of 1951 then furthered his education by obtaining a Registered Industrial Accountant Certification at night school while working during the day. He began his career at Ford Motor Company, Canada where he worked for several years and met his wife, Mary Lou McCabe and his lifetime best friends, Jim Van Duzen and his wife June. Grant later worked for Tenneco, and served as President of both Walker Manufacturing and J. I. Case. On June 6, 1959, he married Mary Lou McCabe and they made their home in Galt, Ontario Canada, and later moved to Dundas, Ontario. Grant and Mary Lou moved to Racine, Wisconsin in 1967 and were so proud to become American citizens in the bicentennial year of 1976. He enjoyed traveling, working outside and reading. Grant also enjoyed being very active- he liked to golf, fish, and enjoyed the sport of curling with his wife and friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a hard-working person that had high expectations for himself and his family, was always well read about current events, was extremely independent, had a great sense of humor and cared about being a good friend and neighbor. He is survived by two daughters Karen Scott Osborn and husband John of Tuttle OK. Maureen Scott Pridgeon and husband Rod of Norman OK. Five grandchildren, that kept him endlessly entertained and filled him with so much pride and happiness. Mary Lou McMenamy and husband Trey of NRH, TX, Megan Pridgeon Sylevester and husband Evan of Stillwater, OK. Kyle Osborn and wife Taylor of Tuttle, OK, Kevin Osborn and wife Nicole of Hallsville, TX, and Jason Osborn of Tuttle, OK. Grant was so happy when the great-grandchildren started coming, Kallie Jane Osborn, Katherine Louise Osborn, and Isla Jane Sylvester and he will miss the arrival of great grandchild Olivia Louise Sylvester coming in April. Francis Grant Scott was the epitome of a simple hardworking man that set a standard for us to strive to live up to. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lewis, and his beloved wife, Mary Lou.
