Obituary

Frank B. "Skipper" Wolfe III was born on February 23, 1939, to Dr. Frank B. Wolfe II and Helen G. Wolfe in Michigan. The family moved to California before settling down in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Skip and his brother, Steve Wolfe, grew up in Tulsa where he attended Cascia Hall Preparatory School and Central High School. He then attended college at Washington and Lee before joining ROTC and the army earning the rank of Captain before he retired.

Skip returned home after the Army to co-own and operate a construction company with his father. Eventually, he grew tired of paying attorney fees and decided to attend University of Tulsa Law School. Skip practiced law for multiple years before co-founding Nichols & Wolfe Law Firm, which went on to be very successful before eventually merging with Hall Estill Law Firm in 2006. Skip was well respected for his expertise and specialty in Labor law and his creative and efficient handling of employee strikes that threatened his clients' operations.

Skip's accomplishments in his practice of law were noteworthy, but it was his true love for his work that really stood out to all those around him. It could be said that he never truly worked a day in his life because he absolutely loved what he was doing.

In 1986, Skip was setup on a blind date through friends with Judith Brown. The couple only dated for a few months before they knew it was a relationship that would last forever. They were married in Tulsa on January 31, 1987 and spent 37 wonderful years together. They built a loving family and made countless memories through their adventures traveling around the globe.

Skip's other true love was being at the family lake house on Fort Gibson Lake where his father built a cabin when Skip was in high school. Skip's love for water skiing and boating was well known to all. He could often be found teaching (forcing) various members of the family and their friends to ski and also continued to slalom ski well into his 60s.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Frank Wolfe II and Helen Wolfe, and his daughter Katherine Sharman.

Skip is survived by his wife Judith Wolfe; devoted father of daughter Carolyne May, and sons Frank B. Wolfe IV and wife Dawn, and Alexander Wolfe and wife Leslie; adored grandfather of Serena Sharman, Claire Sharman, Eloise May, Theodore Wolfe, Heidi Wolfe, and Madison Gregory; great grandfather of Miley Gregory; and his brother Steve Wolfe and wife Dana Sue; and his many nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.

Skip's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was one of hard work, generosity, and faith, and he will be deeply missed.

We love you, Skipper.
