Frank Roy Wolff, Jr. died May 1, 2012 at the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center. He was born to Vivian Mildred Nelson and Frank Roy Wolff, Sr. on September 10, 1939, in Mt. Vernon, NY and grew up in Yonkers, NY.
Frank graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1957 in the upper 10% of his class. He attended Bucknell University in Lewisberg, PA, before enlisting in the United States Naval Reserve, where he served from 1958 to 1960.
After leaving the Navy he was an assistant manager for Household Finance Corp. in New York City. From 1967 to 1974, he worked in computer operations for several companies in New York City and for Hilti, Inc. in Stamford, CT.
Frank served as sergeant in the New York Air National Guard from 1974 to 1980. In 1977 he was appointed non commissioned officer in the United States Air Force.
In 1976 he returned to college and received an Associate's Degree in Applied Science; he also completed the legal assistant program at Elizabeth Seton College in Yonkers, NY in 1977. In 1979, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY, majoring in business with courses in international business.
When Hilti moved to Tulsa in 1980, Frank was asked to move with the company. For 20 years, starting in 1988, Frank served as collection manager for Moody's Jewelry, Inc. He retired in 2008.
During his early years in Tulsa, Frank was a volunteer with the International Council of Tulsa (now Tulsa Global Alliance). He was a host and escort for visitors from abroad and helped prepare their itineraries in Tulsa.
Frank was a member of Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. He was an avid golfer. He met the love of his life, Marilyn Kulick, at a golf course in 1967 and they were together ever since. The couple traveled extensively to such destinations as China, England, Hungary, France, Belgium, Spain, Canada, and Norway, as well as various parts of the United States. Frank and Marilyn attended the Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Ballet and Tulsa Symphony for 28 years. He is survived by Marilyn Kulick, his loving companion.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center (Zarrow Manor), 2025 East 71st St. in Tulsa between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.
