Freda Marie (Powell) Frazee passed away peacefully September 19, 2026. Freda was born September 25, 1936 to Mary (Melton) and Fred Powell. She was raised in Billings, OK along with her brother and sister. After graduating high school she attended a year of college at Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater. She then moved to Tulsa, OK where she worked for Texaco. She met the love of her life in Tulsa, Thomas William (Tom) Frazee, and they were married June 6, 1956 and settled in to raise their four children. They were happily married 55 years until Tom's passing in 2011. Freda was a loving wife and mother and genuinely kind person. She volunteered at the Tulsa Boys Home and Meals on Wheels among other local organizations. Her children fondly remember her as being active in their lives serving as a Sunday school teacher, on the PTA, as school homeroom mom as well as a Blue Bird and Camp Fire Leader, cheer and sports team parent sponsor, and getting them to and from all of their many activities. Freda loved people and social gatherings - she truly appreciated all of her friends. Freda loved music, enjoyed singing in the choir, and participated as a member of the community choir that performed at the BOK Center first public event when it opened. She learned to play golf and joined Tom on several golf trips around Oklahoma and neighboring states after his retirement. In her later years even as her memory faded she often spoke happily of her life and said that she felt very blessed. Freda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, and her brother Jess Powell. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Oller of Enid, her children Dody (Carl) Blackman of Houston, Delene (Mike) Kassen of Glenpool, Sarah (Kent) Lee of Oklahoma City and Todd (Lori) Frazee of Tulsa. She was proudly known as Grammy to Kyle Blackman, Jenny Blackman (Nick) Mitchell, Justin Wallace, Amy Wallace, Hayden Lee, Brock (Kenzie) Frazee and Colin Frazee. Freda's family would like to thank all the loving caregivers at Town Village, Legend at Mingo Road and Oxford Glen Owasso who helped her through her decade long battle with dementia.

The family will hold a private graveside service to remember and celebrate her life.
