Gabriella Alivia Marleny Loehr was born in Guatemala on May 3, 2004, and passed away too soon on July 22, 2023. She was adopted by her loving parents Annette L. Loehr and Dr. Anthony E. Loehr in November 2004 and immediately became a United States citizen. Gabby attended primary school at Jenks Southeast for seven years and then transferred to Metro Christian Academy for middle and high school, where she graduated in May 2023. She was accepted and enrolled in John Brown University for her anticipated first year of college to begin August 21, 2023.
Gabby was a beautiful, shy, and introverted child who grew into a sweet and sensitive young woman. She treasured her dogs, Sunny, Coco, and Max. Gabby was an excellent varsity tennis player and an outstanding varsity and competitive cheerleader. Her warm smile and kind heart were world class. Her memory will be a shining light for those of us who grieve the loss of her presence in our lives.
Gabby will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Annette Loehr and Dr. Anthony Loehr; brother, Tanner Loehr; sisters, Allison Loehr and Erica Loehr; and her aunt Sheila Sutton, with whom she had a special relationship. Gabby is also survived by her paternal step-grandmother, Nancy Loehr of Grove, OK; uncle John Loehr and his wife, Renee of Ronan, MT; uncle Randy Loehr and his wife, Debbie, of Paris, TX; and many beloved cousins and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00am at Redeemer Church. Burial services will follow at Calvary Cemetery with a reception immediately after at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gabriella's honor to the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave, Tulsa, OK 74115.
