Gail Ann O'Brien age 57 of Tulsa, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. She was born to Gerald and Rosalie O'Brien also of Tulsa, on April 11, 1956.
Gail is survived by her mother, Rosalie, and her dear sister Lisa O'Brien. Also surviving are her nephews Brendan O'Brien and Shyler O'Brien and his wife Kendra Aldridge, her grandnephews Maddox and Nolan O'Brien, her aunt and uncle Janette and William O'Brien, her cousins Dr William O'Brien, John J. Linehan, Dr. Marsha Linehan (her loving God Mother of Seattle) Earl Linehan (of Baltimore), Michael Linehan (of Crested Butte, CO) Aline Linehan Haynes (of Princeton) and Mark Gray (of Santiago), sister-in-law Jan Heerwagen, as well as many others including close friends, Lesa McClish, Tamara Walden, Norma Harris, and Nancy Makar.
Gail's beloved father and brother Jack preceded her in death.
Gail had just started a wonderful new job she loved, had moved into a new apartment and was thrilled about both. As she was settling down to enjoy them both, she died suddenly of natural causes at peace in her home.
Gail attended St. Pius Grammar School, Whitney Middle School and Nathan Hale High School, before she attended the Oklahoma State University.
Gail's family, friends and work were her passion and delight. She loved working in her mother's garden, helping customers in her job, spending time with her nephews, and talking with her god mother. She brought a cheerful smile to all who saw her and was loved by one and all for her kindness and compassion and her near perfect ability to select the right gift for each person in her life. She had wonderful memories of July 4ths, cruising with her brother and friends in the ford LTD and going to the blue whale with Lesa, Tamara, and Norma. She loved going to visit cousins in Tonkawa and swimming at her grandmother's apartment complex. We all miss her. Services were held July 8, 2013 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
