Geneva Heinze Naughton died Monday, April 19, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital after a determined fight against Guillian-Barre Syndrome. She was born on June 23, 1924, of Gusteen and Pearl Peirano, and one of eight children. Geneva lost her first husband to cancer in 1960 and moved with their two sons, Lloyd Jr. and Robert, to Tulsa. She went to work for Skelly Oil in the accounting department for 22 years. Geneva and her sons became embedded in the community of St. Pius X Catholic Church and school and later Bishop Kelley High School. You never saw a person light up brighter than Geneva when she spoke of the solid men her boys became. In addition to her sons she is survived by four grandchildren; Lloyd Heinze III, Gus Heinze, Becki Jolly, and Stephanie Worsham, and two great grandchildren; Luke, and Autumn. She also leaves behind her husband John Naughton. She and John were inseparable and their love for each other evident everyday of their lives; each always putting the other first.
Even though she graduated from University of Kansas, she was an avid TU fan. She also enjoyed bridge and never missed a day of doing a crossword puzzle.
