Ponville - Geneva M., went to be with her Lord Friday, September 9, 2016 in Tulsa. She was born on November 23, 1937 in Plaquemine, LA to Louis Daigle and Leona Vaughn Daigle. She and her husband relocated to Tulsa from Louisiana in 2005 to be closer to their son and his family. They joined River Oaks Christian Church in Jenks upon relocating and continued serving the Lord with their new church family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years in 2007. Heartbroken but undaunted, she continued to serve faithfully in her church, spend time with family, and took up exercising regularly. Her witness left an impression on all she came in contact with and none more so than the faith legacy she passed down to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Drena Mae Daigle and Mary Lee Marceaux, and her brother Harry Daigle. She is survived by her son D. J. Ponville and his wife Johnnie, sister, Angel Powell, two grandchildren and three step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 am to 10:30 am prior to the 11:00 am service on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
