Geneva L. Vanaman, age 91, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at a local Tulsa Hospital.
She was born on March 18, 1920, in Marble, Oklahoma to parents Ben and Myrtle (Greenway) Ellis.
At seven years of age, Geneva traveled with her family from Marble, OK, to Purdy, Missouri, in a covered wagon. She married George Vanaman in Kansas, in 1941, and was a homemaker and mother.
George preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by her children, Norma Daugherty of Tulsa, Betty Bodley of Banning, CA, Vera Ann Lasson of Terlton, OK, and Dixie King of Tulsa, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
A visitation wil be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm Sunday, April 24, 2011 and Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2011, both at the Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
