George Dennis Smith passed away at home November 3, 2017. He was born in New York City September 14, 1929, later grew up and graduated high school in Teaneck, NJ. After service in the Air Force, George graduated in engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ. He worked as a design engineer and manager for Raybestos-Manhattan.
George married Catherine Krazinski in 1953 and they were blessed with nine children. He is predeceased by son Paul and grandson Etienne Kilgore; survived by his wife of 64 years; children Kevin (Lisa), Maureen Weitkemper (Rick), Michael (Anne), Thomas (Sherri), Eileen Carmen (Lee), Catherine Kilgore (Steve), Kenneth (Carolyn), Regina Mellen (Nathan); 21 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, much loved sister Loretta Honeywell, many nieces and nephews.
After moving to Tulsa, George was a small business entrepreneur and volunteered in Tulsa for many years in his church and community, especially for D.A.V., St. John's Hospital, Meals on Wheels and as a mediator with the Early Settlement Program/Small Claims Court/ (Dir.
