Obituary

On the evening of January 16, 2015, George passed away peacefully in his home with his family members by his side. George was 83 years old.

George was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 31, 1931. He was the second child of Opal Pearl and Elburn Fred Wallace. He attended Bristow High School where he met his future wife. Donna Jean (Holden) and George married in 1949 and celebrated 65 years of marriage in the fall.

George was retired from a career in sales with Hale Halsell Grocers. He was his sons' number one sports fan, a worthy chess/cards opponent and loved his summers in New Mexico at the cabin.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Elburn Wallace; and his son, Steven Kent Wallace.

George is survived by his wife, Donna; sister, Norma Jean Chadderdon; son Michael Keith and his wife, Linda; son Clark David and his wife, Delene; son Lance Edmond. Papa was loved by his 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21st, at the Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 East 91st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A private family burial will be held at Magnolia Memory Gardens, Bristow, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20th at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
