Glenn was born on St. Patrick's
day 1930 in Chicago, IL to Richard
and Marion Major. He died
in Tulsa on April 22, 2012. Glenn
graduated from The University of
Tulsa in 1951 with a business degree
and joined the Air Force. He
met his wife of 57 years while stationed
in Roswell, NM. He made
several tours to Korea but opted
to join IBM after meeting his wife
Iris. He enjoyed 34 years of success
with IBM and retired in 1990.
Glenn was an active member of Christ the
King Church, Tulsa for over 50 years. The
church and school were not something extraneous
to his life. It was woven deeply into
the fabric of his daily life. He showed by example
how important it was to be a part of
the parish community. Sharing the Word of
the Lord as a lector at the 9:30 Mass, ushering
and counting collections were all part of
the talents he shared. In addition, he served
as treasurer of the Men's Club for 15 years.
He accomplished all of this while helping
raise their 7 children and demonstrating
the importance of church and family. Glenn
was inducted into the Christ
the King Hall of Fame in 2009.
He is survived by his wife
Iris and their 7 children, David
