Obituary
Gloria Pundt McAfee-Sheehan died peacefully at the age of 81 at her daughter's home in Henderson, Nevada on August 19, 2013. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 21, 1932 and was the daughter of Lockett James Pundt and Zelma (Owens) Pundt.
Gloria is survived by 8 children: John McAfee (Sonia), Debra McAfee Vertucci (Dominic), Dianne McAfee Floyd (Bill), Lesley McAfee Dillingham (David), Morey McAfee (Nani), Richard McAfee (Tammy), Lisa McAfee Doyle (Dan), and Patrick McAfee (Trisha), and brothers Lockett James Pundt and John Owen Pundt. Grandchildren: Amber, John, Rachel, Whitney, Frank, Nick, Billy, Michael, John, Taylor, Jennifer, Lauren, Brittany, Austin, Emily, Jacob, Catherine, Ryan, Madelyn, and Patrick. Also Sheehan children: Ray Sheehan (Sandy), Jim Sheehan (Janet), Tom Sheehan (Michelle), Carol Burger (Tim), Tim Sheehan (May), Beth Sheehan, Dan Sheehan (Debbie, and John Sheehan (deceased); and Sheehan grandchildren: Shannon, Peter, Justin, Lauri, John, Catherine, Madeline, Valerie, Jeri, Katie, Rebecca, Zach, Taylor, Alex, Elizabeth, and Marjorie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Majorie Pundt Butler, and husbands Billy Joe McAfee and Ray Sheehan.
She graduated from Monte Cassino High School and went on to attend the University of Tulsa where she graduated with a Degree in Arts and Sciences with a double major in Education and Home Economics which served her well later in life with her 8 kids, 20 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
Gloria was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority and was Homecoming Queen at the University of Tulsa.
She danced many years for The Red Glove Revue which sponsored the Cerebral Palsy Association. Her last employer was Saks Fifth Avenue, where she loved working as a Sales Associate for 15 years.
We will always remember her for her unconditional love, great sense of humor, and her favorite quote, "What you see, is what you get".
Rosary will be held Monday night at 7:00 P.M. at St. Rita's Chapel, Cascia Hall and funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
