Grace Jane Lafferty, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on May 22, 2018.  She was born on October 16, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Paul and Rose Cadwell.  Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Payne.  Grace will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Kelley Cox (Alvin), Michael Wright, Patrick Wright (Christy), Casey Lafferty, and Annie Saltsman (John), fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her dog, Yogi.

Grace enjoyed her career at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, and retired in 2007.  Her free-spirited lifestyle led to her many travels, where she fell in love with the beaches of Mexico, and spent numerous vacations on the beach making friends wherever she went.  Grace was an avid baseball fan and favored the New York Yankees. She was a strong advocate for social justice and was committed to supporting candidates who shared the same beliefs.  Her beautiful smile, spicy personality, and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Grace's life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27th, at Lambrusco'z Deli, 1344 East 41st Street, Tulsa.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Grace can be made to Hospice of Green Country, 1120 South Boston Avenue, Suite 200, Tulsa, OK 74119.
