Harold K. "Bud" Stockdale passed away in Tulsa, OK October 22, 2019 due to complications from heart disease. He was born July 8, 1924 in Lakewood, OH, one of twelve children of Harold K. and Margaret Connors Stockdale. After graduating from high school, Bud served in the infantry in WW II, seeing combat in France and Germany. Following the war, he married Georgette Tegreene (d.1991); they had two sons. An accountant, he spent most of his career with Agrico, moving to Tulsa when Williams Co. acquired it. Bud enjoyed playing golf, coaching softball, ballroom dancing, and working in his yard, as well as watching all kinds of sports. He was a kind, modest, and generous man, devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Wilson Stockdale; sons, Robert Michael Stockdale and Thomas David Stockdale; grandson, Nicholas Stockdale, and his mother, Melissa Kirschke Stockdale; step-children, Cathy and David Ruckman, Tim and Chris Wilson, Sue Poshard, and Brian Wilson; several siblings; and beloved extended family-by-marriage in Oklahoma, Texas, and elsewhere.
Rosary will be Thursday, October 24, at 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held Friday, October 25, 10:00 a.m., both at the Church of the Madalene, 3188 E 22nd St. (Tulsa), followed by a lunch reception at the church hall.
