Herbert Ellis Elias, Sr., 86, of Tulsa, OK passed from this world on Monday, September 11, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on September 19, 1936 to Edward Joseph Elias, Sr., and Violet Sylvia Elias (Shute). He graduated from Bristow High School and attended the University of Oklahoma and Tulane University before graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He also served for two years in the Army. He graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1963, and was recently recognized by the Oklahoma Bar Association for 60 years of membership. He most recently practiced law with Scott Hjelm, Esq. for over 25 years and enjoyed every minute.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Gary. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy; 5 siblings: Eddy Joe, Janet, Chris, Alan and Steve; 6 children (and their spouses): Herb Elias, Jr. (Cindy), Eric Elias (Heather), Kevin Collins, Mark Elias, Corey Elias (Melanie), and Elizabeth Elias (John); and 15 grandchildren: Paden, Rachel, Ryan, Spencer, James, Madelynn, Lauren, McKenna, Julia, Lydia, Mikaela, Trevor, Maggie, Noah and William.

Rosary will be held on Sunday, September 17th at 7 pm at Fitzgerald's Ivy Chapel (1402 So. Boulder Ave, Tulsa). Funeral Mass is Monday, September 18th at 10 am at St. Pius X (1727 So. 75th East Ave, Tulsa).

Friends can honor Herb's memory with contributions in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org ). He was an awesome brother, husband, Dad, and Giddee and will really be missed!
